  • Operations Management: The Vice President of Operations oversees all installation and service work. This individual is the “bridge” between our customers, sales engineers, service personnel and subcontractors.
  • Field Installation Staff: Full time, manufacturer-trained installers with specialized areas of expertise are responsible for new system installations. Each is supplied with a fully equipped service vehicle, laptop computer and state-of-the-art communications equipment enabling them to provide single source accountability for our clients. Their responsibilities include on site coordination with subcontractors, system configuration and implementation including on site training for end users.
  • Field Service Staff: The Field Service staff technicians are primarily devoted to routine field service activities, i.e., preventive and remedial service. Some are dedicated to specific accounts with large systems, others respond to emergency calls and/or provide warranty support. 24-hour on-call service is available when needed.
  • System Design Drafting: We provide AutoCAD services for our clients. These services include design, installation shop drawings, submittals and as-builts. We also maintain a technical library and our customer drawings’ database.
  • Purchasing: One full time staff person is dedicated to purchasing and parts expediting. ASI has a fully automated business management system that tracks material purchase orders from requisition through billings and collection.
  • Materials Management: One full time staff person is dedicated to warehousing, stocking, shipping and receiving. This person is responsible for our half-million dollar warehouse inventory and our vehicle stock inventory. Responsibility includes management of our loaner-pool equipment.
ENGINEERING & PROJECT MANAGEMENT
  • ASI functions as the Prime contractor on major integrated system installations for many of our Fortune 500 clients. These projects are engineered, staged, and coordinated from our Hazlet, New Jersey location by an experienced operations staff. A key project team is organized for every project, including a Project Manager who provides single source responsibility for the project.
Our own employees typically install projects in the New York metropolitan area. Where union requirements prevail, we are accustomed to coordinating with Local Union Electrical Contractors.
When required we can provide Bid and/or Performance Bonds.
Project Life Cycle Approach
Our project approach is based on our proven track record of successfully implementing major projects, completing them on time and within budget.

The customer’s primary contact for the duration of the project is the Project Manager. This individual has full responsibility for customer satisfaction and has the authority to make any and all decisions, technical and administrative, as required to meet our mutual objectives. It is our goal to make every site a reference site.

We use industry-standard scheduling and management software that utilizes a Critical Path method of Project Management. A formal kick-off meeting takes place to assure all parties have identical expectations.

After installation tasks are completed and the acceptance testing is performed, the project is formally closed with respect to original scope.

We now move to the warranty phase of the project where we provide remote and on-site services as required to assure a smooth transition to the new system. Prior to the end of the warranty period we will submit our maintenance contract for approval and the project moves to the Maintenance phase where routine preventive and remedial services assure your investment in the system is optimized..
